Roku TVs and Devices Bricked if New Terms Aren’t Agreed To

Roku recently updated their dispute resolution terms and you must agree to them on your device or it will be bricked. A standalone Roku streaming device will be completely bricked and Roku Smart TVs will be limited to HDMI inputs. Why is Roku trying to get people to agree the terms so aggressively?
